Play

How good are you?

Sure, you know who you can beat and you gives you fits when you play; but would you like to know where your game is on the national scene? If you are an experienced player, we have both local opportunities and national opportunities. There is even a professional darting tour, where the very best spar on a higher stage. So, how good do you want to be?

The basics

We have two basic leagues types, Open and Express. The Team leagues are four to six players playing Cricket and 501 as doubles.

The Express league format has three players with singles playing 301 and all Cricket matches are team play.

Holding your own

Open leagues are generally for experienced players who want to compete in scratch games.

Maybe you play for fun.

Oh, have we got a league for you! Neutralizer is a handicapped game that is fast paced so your whole night isn't blown as matches typically take less than two hours. With the handicap, that friend of yours with the dartboard in his/her basement who annoys you by obviously playing soft, can't play soft against you in this league. Better players give points to the more casual user.

Games

The novice, or casual, player can find great success in the Neutralizer format, where all scoring is handicapped. The handicap is designed to level the playing field for any given match. Take a typical 301 for example: the better player always starts at 301, while the lesser player might start at 278, or 254, or less. Because the start is level, the winner will be the player that scores better relative to their natural ability.

For more information on the games we play, see the Leagues page.
